剧情简介：
　　七十年代初期轰动一时的大堆头灾难片。描写大邮轮海神号在新年前夕遭大风浪将船整个翻覆过来，船上大批乘客千方百计逃生。其中，以牧师吉恩·哈克曼为首的一组人在同心协力下越过重重障碍爬到水面上，成为少数战胜灾难的生还者。在逃亡过程中，导演罗纳德·尼姆擅长于制造人性味，尤其在于于谢利·温特斯英勇潜水的一段最为感受人，牧师舍已为人的精神亦令人敬仰，堪称是同类作品中的高水准之作。
